Mazda Motor Corporation will open the “MAZDA TRANS AOYAMA” brand promotion center in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo, on February 6. This is the first time in 30 years, since the Mazda Rotary in Omotesando, that Mazda has established a directly managed facility in Tokyo to promote its brand.

President Masahiro Moro said, “Japan is Mazda’s second largest market in the world. We have a sense of crisis that our brand presence has declined in the Japanese market. We would like to firmly establish our brand once again,” he said, explaining the purpose of the opening. He said he had been searching for a property for about two years and finally found one in Minami-Aoyama and was able to open the store.
Yoko Ishida, the manager, said, “This is a place where visitors can freely enjoy themselves. I hope it will brighten the hearts of visitors,” and “I hope people who are not interested in cars will feel free to visit “. Events scheduled include talk shows and flower arrangement events.

President Moro also said that Mazda would not only send out information through the event, but would also “find out what visitors (i.e., consumers) are thinking “. He also expressed his intention to actively communicate with a wide range of people, from the young to the elderly, by interviewing them, saying, “I think we can get deeper information than we can get from a questionnaire “.

On the first floor, there is a café supervised by Itsuki Coffee, which was established in Miyajima, Hiroshima, where visitors can buy drinks, sweets, and light meals.

Every detail was supervised by Mazda designers.

The samples of the seat upholstery are also artistically presented, as regular samples would have a showroom feel.

Miniature cars and emblems of nostalgic Mazda vehicles are also on display.

Turn the cushion over and you will see the same pattern as the seat of that car. This playful spirit is hidden throughout the product.

What is the connection between the numbers on the poster and Mazda? If you like cars, you’ll notice (≥▽≦)
