The new RAV4, the sixth generation, will have its world premiere on Wednesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m(JST).
In the glimpse photos released prior to the announcement, we can discover U-shaped lamps at the front that incorporate an arrangement of the hammerhead mask.
However, the trapezoidal wheel arches, plastic garnish, and the edge of the hood are similar to the current model, suggesting that the car will be reborn as a keep-concept.
Another photo shows the honeycomb-patterned grille on the bumper and the black garnish connecting the left and right lamps.
At the rear, the tail lamps with their vertical lines are innovative, and the RAV4 lettering in the center distinguishes it from the current model.
A black line is placed on the rear quarter pillar, which is the border between the two-tone color scheme, the same as on the current model.
Why do we have two identical photos of the same model?
They look the same, but they are slightly different. Both photos were released in Japan and abroad, but were you able to find the differences?
We will try to solve the riddle below, so before you continue reading, take a look back at the photos to discover the differences!
< Spoilers below. Did you check all the photos? Are you sure you want to proceed? >
The answer is that the photos released in Japan have the phrase “LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE” woven into them. This seems to be a promotional phrase used for Japan, and is not included in the photos released overseas.
The world premiere can be viewed on the official website.
