Dealers have been officially notified of the termination of Nissan AD production, which has spread through newspapers and web news.
According to the information sent by the manufacturer to dealers, production of the AD will end in November of this year. On the other hand, the NV200 Vanette will continue to be produced and sold.
We Magazine X has more news. The price of both vehicles will be revised (raised) in April. Since there is a limit to the number of vehicles that can be supplied at the current price, the first one to order will win, so to speak, and once the number of orders nationwide reaches the limit, customers will have no choice but to order at the new price.
Affected by the semiconductor shortage caused by the Corona disaster, orders for AD continued to be suspended, and when they resumed in April 2011, the price was raised by 130,000-150,000 yen. Then, in March 2012, collision damage reduction brakes and hill-start assist became standard on all models, and the grade lineup was reviewed, and the prices were reduced by 38,500 yen for 2WD models and 85,800 yen for 4WD models. Thus, prices, which rose and fell over the two years, rose again only in the last six months of the year.
The Nissan Shonan Plant, where the AD is assembled, has a history of over 70 years and has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units. It is unlikely that the plant will remain for a single model, and the NV200 Vanette will eventually be transferred (e.g., in conjunction with model changes).
